DAY 20……GOOD NEWS!
Early post today because I had to give this awesome PRAISE REPORT! Today marks 20 days in the hospital with 14 of those days in ICU! Received some encouraging news this morning. Her Bilirubin has gone down from 25.9 to 24.1,🙌🙌🙌 (first time it’s gone down) platelets were 45k so she doesn’t need a transfusion this morning (first time in 14 days!) and they are going to try and wean her down another notch on the high flow oxygen today!!!! YES! We thought they were going to take it off but just slow and steady. When your doctors and nurses are giving you high fives you know it is GOOD!!!!
She’s still feeling crummy and has a long way to go but she’s headed in the right direction! She also slept better last night with the adjustments they made to meds and clumping care with minimal disruptions in her sleep.
I will admit that there have been days that my fear was greater than my faith but each day I felt God speak to my heart that Addi would live and not die and would be a testimony of God’s love for her. She’s going to receive her miracle. I received an amazing devotion from a new Facebook friend today and it was perfect. She may not receive her miracle immediately but day by day God is renewing her and her miracle will come in His time!
We can’t say thank you enough for your continued prayers. Don’t stop! She has a long way to go but praise God she’s getting better day by day. Your faithfulness to pray and God’s Grace is what has gotten her to this point. We love you!
Now….after 20 days straight in the hospital I have taken a shower, put on real clothes, put on make-up and I’m
going to go on a date with my honey for a few hours. I told him a 5 mile radius from the hospital is IT!!! A little fresh air and getting away to recharge will help get me ready for another week in the ICU!
